A rather shy bird, in spite of his bright plumage.
Several pair nest near our home, (one in a bush in the 
front yard), Often, one pair does battle with their
image in the side-view mirrors on my husband's car.
It's funny to watch, but regular cleaning of the mirrors
is necessary.
